Wines selected by Véronique Rivest… at 30,000 feet

February 9, 2017– World renowned Quebec-based sommelier Véronique Rivest is proud to announce a partnership with Air Canada, Canada’s largest domestic and international airline.

As part of a new livery unveiled by Air Canada to celebrate its 80-year history and Canada’s 150th anniversary, the airline wanted to showcase Canadian talent and premium on-board products.

As Air Canada’s new sommelier, Véronique Rivest will develop the wine program with a selection of Canadian, as well as old and new world, wines that change seasonally to highlight the best wines to be enjoyed at 30,000 feet. Véronique will also expertly pair the wines with the dishes created by British Columbia-based chef David Hawksworth, which showcase some of the finest Canadian ingredients from across the country.

During the launch event in Toronto today, guests were treated to a sampling of some of the new onboard menu choices that will be available for Air Canada passengers starting this April; notably, a Vineland Estates Winery white wine from Ontario’s Niagara region and Les Athlètes du Vin, a French Pinot Noir.

The first wine list curated by Véronique Rivest will be available to Air Canada’s International Business Class passengers in April.
